Tournament Co-Chair

Yesterday was an eventful evening. I didn’t play in the first Wednesday tournament event but showed up around 1 pm to get some much-needed practice. Forty-five minutes of putting and an hour on the driving range and I was feeling better about my game.

Then I was able to get out and play nine holes with my buddy Doug. He’s got the potential to play some really good golf. He’s my pick for a surprise first 70’s round coming soon.

I knew in early October-November that I was going to be asked to be on the board of governors at Sycuan. I’m honored and glad that I can help. Fortunately, I have a number of guys that I golf with that have a lot of past experience to help with how good of a job I might be doing or areas that I can improve on.

Below is Doug and I after the dinner and my buddy Rick that won a trophy for his performance in the Club Championship.

Today I’m off to see my daughter Joy. She’s growing up so fast and I wish I could just hit the brakes. Next month she’ll be nine. Geez before I know it she’ll be going on dates and going to Prom. Yikes! This dad isn’t ready!

Our Christmas party is filling up. I guess it’s the third annualĀ one that we’ve had. I haven’t kept track. Close to 20 people coming. It seems like a lot to me and it’s always a bit frustrating to me as it seems that I never get to spend enough time talking with everyone.

It was good to see my buddy and instructor Bob Madsen yesterday. Good tribute to those that lost so much at Pearl Harbor.
