Let’s start with the rough stuff. The President met with Putin for two hours behind doors. No transcripts of the conversation. Then appears and casts doubts as to the validity of the American Intelligence systems. Republicans and Democrats alike are now standing and casting for how he personally acted. I’m a little lost as to how this makes us strong?
What bothers me the most about today? Trump didn't defend us. He didn't defend America today.
He had an opportunity, in front of the whole world, to defend America. To defend who we are. And he chose not to.
Because of that, I can no longer support him.

To Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich –
President Trump must clarify his statements in Helsinki on our intelligence system and Putin. It is the most serious mistake of his presidency and must be corrected—-immediately.

To John McCain –
Today’s press conference in #Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory.

Dan Quayle’s Chief of Staff –
After today, now more than ever: Never Trump.

To me personally. Yes, Russia was involved in our elections. They used social media and other tools to a large extent to try and affect the election. To what extent? Not known as most of the intel is highly classified and they won’t discuss it at public Congressional Hearings. Which translates to – we don’t want adversaries knowing how we know.
Regardless we need to stop behaving like Russia is our friend.
Mitch McConnell yesterday –
“I have said a number of times, I’ll say it again: The Russians are not our friends. And I entirely believe the assessment of our intelligence community,” – Mitch McConnell
I highly enjoyed it. Always nice to get out with my son, Tommy and enjoy a comic-book movie. IMAX was maybe not the way to do it. It’ll be interesting to see where they go with this.
I’m off. Time for some morning golf with the guys.
