I got out for a round of golf Saturday morning. Much to my disappointment and I should have listened to my buddy Eric’s advice, we should have gone ahead of the group in front of us at tee off. I was wrong in a big way. It was a slow round as the group in front of us was playing their own scramble. Not a problem if you’re driving around in electric carts. However, a big problem if you’re all walking. What should have been a 3 1/2 hour round turned into 4 1/2 hours. No Bueno.
Eric has developed a case of the first hole blues. A week ago taking a fourteen. Yesterday taking an eight. A couple of bad holes are all that stands in the way of him being back at about a three index. Right where he should be. 😀
As for myself –
It was up and down and crazy. My tee ball wasn’t what I was wanting as it was these high floaters rather than a penetrating ball flight. Working on it mid-round can always have some mixed results.
Sam, always enjoyable, and it’s just a matter of time until he’s striking gold and going to be consistently in the 70s. Plus,
Excellent meal that my wife prepared. Excellent time with Terri, Andy, and Austin before he heads back to NYU. Lots of interesting discussions. But man I sure have difficulty doing the 5 am get up and going to midnight. It used to be easier now it’s definitely a struggle.
