Yesterday was an interesting one. We had our ‘Select Partners’ golf tournament at Singing Hills. It felt like a golf tournament but so much was off. First and foremost was the course conditions. After playing Rams Hill and Steele Canyon both in the same week it became very obvious how far Singing Hills has fallen. I just keep scratching my head as to why. Burned out dead spots in the fairways and on the greens. Dead spots – on the greens. I just don’t get it. When you’re a golf resort the number one thing people easily talk about amongst one another is course conditions. I’ve even had people in my circle of friends compare it now to Cottonwood. Frustrating. Some will say, “Hey it wasn’t that long ago that we didn’t have golf at all?” Yes, that’s true but the sooner we get back to normal the better it is for business. Some items will be a new normal. Yes, I get that. Course conditions deteriorating shouldn’t be one of them.
Today is day two of our tournament on the even rougher of the two course condition wise. Maybe I’ll add some videos to this as the tournament progresses. Look for some updates.
Moving on. I heard there was a rally – maybe it’s better to call it a protest last evening by the San Diego Courthouse. They want everything opened up. Some holding signs that are against vaccines and others protesting the 5G networks. Some crying for the constitutionality of it all.
First I heard it was five thousand people there. Now it looks like closer to five hundred. Some are probably there with decent motives which another half are probably whack jobs. Anti-vaxxers who even when we have a vaccine for Covid-19 they’ll be preaching that it’s the government trying to control us. Weird times. Weird times.
Lets have an excellent Sunday everyone!
