Good morning. Yep, it’s a fine morning and we’re off to the races. It’s been a while since I’ve been posting to my blog. A lot has been happening and sometimes I don’t have a lot to say. So let us get started on a few things of interest to me.
Cubs won in extra innings to complete a sweep of the Pirates. Did it in walk-off fashion? Is it the same without anyone in the stands? Tough to say.
The Cub’s Kris Bryant has been out for a variety of reasons. He complained of an upset stomach and feeling nauseous. Instant COVID test and came back negative. Another Covid-19 test the next day and another negative test. It appears he’s just been sidelined with a stomach bug and was now anxious to get back in the line-up. Though to be perfectly fair he hasn’t been doing much in the line-up.
I saw an excellent interview with Kris talking about his high school days.
My buddy Doug celebrated his 49th birthday. 49 years going around the sun. We had a small get-together to celebrate his birthday. I tried to keep my distance some and decided to just sit on the sidelines and take it all in. Hard to believe where everyone is at in their own lives. I don’t mean that with a negative connotation, just interesting where everyone is at.
Justin Thomas won a close one. Solid play and picked up Bones to be his caddy on less than 24 hours notice—an exciting tournament to watch. Bones was Phil’s caddy for all of his Major Championship victories and 98% of his PGA Tour victories. They parted ways last year, so it was probably a bit weird with Phil being in that last group with JT.
It’s PGA Championship time. Yep, it’ll still be weird as can be. But it’s far better than nothing.
Have an excellent Monday everyone. Thanks for reading. I promise more to come.
