It’s Thursday. Enjoy

Billy Payne Steps Down

He was big for Augusta National. A Chairman that really brought Augusta into the 2000’s. The Drive, Chip, and Putt – new Media room – honorary starters – and countless other initiatives were all his. I’m sad to see him step down but glad to see that they looked for another chairman with his credentials.

If you take these photos and you put them on your phone, there is a chance that you’re not doing enough to secure them. Bingo! They can be hacked. Also – nearly 7 in 10 people that I talk with don’t have the latest software on their phones and computers. This gives hackers a gateway into your life.

Apple Event

Everyone is waiting for the next IPhone and the question is now – when will it be announced? Then the question is ‘when will it be available?’ Lots of rumor sites suggest supply for this IPhone will be tougher and that we’ll see three variations.

IPhone 7s

IPhone 7s Plus

IPhone Pro (IPhone 8)

We’re starting to get hints as some of the cell phone carriers have been told when to start putting up promotional material and advertising. 9to5mac is reporting that we’re looking for a September 12th date.

One of my Favorite Movie Scenes

Wonder Woman, Jordan Spieth Wins, Dan Patrick comments

Wonder Woman

Another big weekend for the Wonder Woman movie. It officially passed Man of Steel domestically and it’s on track to beat Batman vs Superman next. Not bad for a movie that had a fraction of the budget of Batman v Superman and Man of Steel.

Golf – Jordan Wins

Jordan Spieth holed out a bunker shot in the first playoff to win in dramatic fashion. Good thing they went with the body slam as earlier in the day they tried the ‘high-five’ and completely missed each other.

Dan Patrick had a good take on purists and the modern age of celebration in golf.

Also Dan had a great interview with Phil Mickelson talking about – oh I don’t know – anything that he might have done recently…

Some Random Thoughts on Instagram and Gal Gadott’s Pay

Tags. Tags. Tags. Tags. It seems to make all the difference in the world. I tested three different posts.

This one. Just tags. Not incredible content. Sunset. You get it.

I also shared a video of my golf instructor Bob Madsen on Twitter and requested people to like. Of my nearly 8,000 followers – I got 200 likes on the video.

Wonder Woman

There is this story going around about the pay for Gal Gadott. Look people this is very easy. 300k per movie. Batman vs Superman, Wonder Woman, Justice League. She’ll now negotiate for significantly higher as her film warrants a higher budget. So before you get all bent about the gender inequality pay gap – she made roughly one million dollars and was an unproven actress in a lead. Worthy of note: Chris Evans got 300k for the first Captain America movie. After it was proven, he got significantly more pay.

Fun note: Anyone seen the sexy video that she did before she was a bit more famous.

What Celebrities are saying about Wonder Woman. Thanks Joss Whedon

Some comments on the Wonder Woman movie. Some people you may have heard of.

I’ll start with my favorite. Some ridiculous men have been complaining about these ‘Women Only Screenings’. I appreciate that Joss Whedon knows how to put it in proper perspective with an excellent joke.

Jessica Chastain

Director Patty Jenkins even responded to her –

The Hulk decided to weigh in –

Captain America –

Aquaman director –

Quite impressed with their Rotten Tomatoes score….

Wonder Woman Review *Spoiler free*

My Review

This is the movie that we’ve waited for. So well done. Patty Jenkins had the tough job of trying to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen for all ages. To portray her sexy but also really smart and to be able to stand with the best fighters. Well – Patty – mission accomplished.

We needed a movie today that makes us feel hopeful. Diana is the woman that cares for all and wants peace in mankind. Well done. It’s the perfect mix of adult and kid humor.

Also, major kudos to Zach Synder for casting the perfect Wonder Woman.

One of my trusted reviews below.

I found this a bit interesting….

Even better that Chris Hemsworth took the time to respond.

Wonder Woman Today

I’m happy to hear about all the good press and the RottenTomatoes score. Definitely looks like it’s the best DC movie that has been made is some time.

Best DC movies –

  • 1977 Richard Donner Superman
  • 1989 Tim Burton Batman
  • Patty Jenkin’s ‘Wonder Woman’ ??

It’s very possible.

I’m very excited to be seeing this with my daughter tomorrow night. Finally a movie with heart and soul and a hero that cares for people the way Christopher Reeve’s Superman did.

Also an interesting clip below. Gal Gaddot and Chris Pine talking of a scene in their movie.

Trump a Hypocrite on the 5th Amendment. Melania takes a pass. Wonder Woman movie soon.

So it just got announced that Michael Flynn will invoke his 5th amendment rights. So he refuses to cooperate in the investigation into the dealings with Russia and our election. Anyone think this sounds familiar?

“If you’re innocent, why are you taking the fiften amendment? ” – Donald Trump during campaign talking about Hillary Clinton staffers

Lets also not forget this…

Hold My Hand. Melania – No Thanks

Good for a laugh.

Wonder Woman comes out Soon

The movie near forty years in the making is due out soon. Excited to see it with my daughter.

New Wonder Woman ‘Goddess’ Trailer

Looks good. I’m ready to see it in theaters.

Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Robin Wright (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Netflix‘s House of Cards), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Ewen Bremner (Exodus: Gods and Kings, Snowpiercer), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), Connie Nielsen (GladiatorNymphomaniac: Vol. I) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead).

Wonder Woman – a Month Away (1)

A little bit over a month and the first ever Wonder Woman movie drops. 75 years and this the first motion picture with this kind of budget put to the silver screen. Some comic book geeks that I’ve talked with are taking issue that DC Comics/Warner Bros doesn’t seem to be marketing it as much as the Justice League film coming out six months later.

My prediction. Wonder Woman makes back all of their initial investment and then some. It’s nice having a film that I’m fairly confident that my daughter will enjoy. The above video is the latest trailer with a little additional footage that dropped yesterday.
